Hagi was once a castle town, unfortunately now only left with its ornate ruins. The grounds are lit up spectacularity once a year by cherry blossoms, gleaming with pink. I cycled down to take a few pictures.
I particularly like the first shot- quintessentially Japanese with cherry blossom and a grad Tori gate, all framing a lone cyclist.

Love that first shot–multiple framing device, almost mono, sweet mood. The angle of the biker is everything.
What he said. Brilliant shot.
Thanks!
Thanks! Took some wrangling in lightroom to get the effect! Some great pictures of the Ivory Coast on your blog!
That first pic is nicely done. The composition and exposure work really nicely together making for a feeling of serenity. Well done.
Thanks!
Love your recent post about the most expensive photos
Lovely! Simply Breathtaking! The cherry blossoms looks so wonderful! I’m a big fan of their country, Spectacular job on the pictures!
Thank you! So many nice comments. I am glad that you like them
Have you ever been to Japan?
Unfortunately, No, Not yet. But I would love to!
Wow – all of these shots are just gorgeous!
Thanks! I loved your photo of the skyscraper reflection! Oh, and just a quick question- Is the rolling banner at the top of your blog a theme feature?
Yes, the slideshow is a feature of the theme. I don’t think any other theme has a similar feature on offer. You can also choose between the rolling banner or a static header photo.
Cool! I might try it out for a new blog I am working on. Thanks for the advice
The images give such a sense of calm, I really like them!
Thanks
I appreciate it lots!
That first photo in particular is so very beautiful! Thank you for ‘liking’ my post which in turn lead me to your blog. Looking forward to seeing more and following the next 224 days.

I take following people seriously
The first one is on my wall already. Metaphorically obviously, but it will be when you give me the originals. I may have to decorate my house with these. Okay?
I could send you the original file if you like
It’s one of my favourites that I have taken. I have actually just invested in a new, even posher camera
