On my island school (Mishima) there is a temple on a hill, atop some rough and rambling stairs. It glints serenely on the horizon through a tunnel of tori gates- a gate framed by a gate, framed by a gate, framed by a gate.

I love the concept of a Torii. These ones here might not be typically red, but they look just as beautiful and majestic. Very nice photography too!
Thanks! I love them too, they add a bit of spirituality to Japan, intertwined with tall building and houses.
